What a busy first half of the summer term we’ve had!

The children had the opportunity to be involved in the vibrant creativity and innovation of the annual Clerkenwell Design Week, which happens right on our doorstep.

One of the highlights of the week was the chance to visit our neighbours at Bisley, a renowned British storage brand, for a tour of their showroom. The children gained an insight into the world of design and manufacturing, Bisley’s British heritage, passion for sustainability, and innovation.

They finished the tour amazed by Bisley’s range of designs, especially the soundproof booth, which they all said they were putting on their wishlist.

In a wonderful display of their creativity, the children put on an eco-fashion show, bringing sunshine and smiles as they turned the streets of Clerkenwell into a lively catwalk.

Using materials donated by local families and businesses, the children demonstrated their dedication to sustainability and creativity by transforming ordinary recyclable materials into fashionable pieces that reflect their environmental commitment.

In spite of the rain, it was a fantastic culmination of their hard work in their Enrichment sessions this half term, which have been dedicated to sustainability and creativity by transforming ordinary recyclable materials into fashionable pieces that reflect their commitment to the environment. Seeing the young designers showcase their innovative and sustainable fashion creations was heartwarming!

To top it all off, the children have had a unique opportunity to have a curated selection of their work on display at YOTEL London City, a testament to their talent and creativity. Other pieces are on display in the School Hall.

Clerkenwell Design Week has again proved to be a valuable and inspiring event for our children. It allows them to appreciate the world of design, sustainability, and innovation while providing them with a platform to express two of our core values: Individuality and Creativity.
